Description
Motion and sound sensors are electronic devices that detect movement or sound, respectively, in their vicinity. Motion sensors, like Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors, detect changes in infrared radiation (heat) from objects, while ultrasonic sensors emit and detect sound waves. Sound sensors, often microphones, convert sound vibrations into electrical signals. The most common type of sound sensor, microphones convert sound waves into electrical signals. Both are used in security systems, but motion sensors are also widely used in automation and other applications.
